Notifications
Choose which emails Caseo sends you. Everything is on until you switch it off. Changes save the moment you flip a switch.
Diary emails come from Caseo to the email address you sign in with.
Your emails

| When I'm diarised | Emails you straight away when a diary entry is assigned to you or made by you. Administrators also get an email for every new diary entry in the firm. | Switch off if the morning digest is enough. Administrators in a busy firm often do. |
| Morning digest | At 07:00 every day: your diary entries for today plus anything overdue. Administrators get the whole firm's. | Leave on. It is the safety net for missed deadlines. |
| Client portal activity | Emails you when a client messages or uploads through the portal on matters you handle (Administrators: matters with no attorney). At most one email per matter every 15 minutes, and none if you've already seen it in Caseo. | Switch off if you'd rather watch the Client Portal page. |
Firm-wide switches
Everyone can see these; only Administrators can change them.

| Email clients when we message them via the portal | The client gets a "New message from [your firm]" email with a button to their portal. The message itself is never in the email. At most one email every ten minutes. | Switch off if you always tell clients yourself (for example on WhatsApp). |
| Email the firm about client portal activity | Allows members to receive the "Client portal activity" email above. Off stops it for everyone, whatever their own setting. | Switch off if the firm doesn't use the portal. |
Send to client with Caseo
Off until an Administrator switches them on, so Caseo never sends anything your firm didn't mean to send. Your firm remains responsible for what it sends.

| Text clients when a document is sent | The client also gets an SMS with their portal link. No amounts or matter details. Uses your SMS allowance. | Switch on if your clients read SMS more than email. |
| Send portal links automatically by email / by SMS | A new portal link goes to the client straight away, without a second click. | Switch on to stop copying links by hand. |

A switch Caseo hasn't turned on for your firm's server yet says so in place of the switch.
