Banking

Your trust and business account details, printed as payment details on invoices and statements. Changing them alerts every Administrator, because changed bank details are the most common start of invoice fraud.

The accounts

FieldWhat it doesWhen to change it
Trust accountYour section 86 trust account: Bank, Account name, Account number, Branch code.At setup, or if you move banks.
Business accountYour business (office) account: the same four fields. At setup, or if you move banks.

Under each account Caseo shows whether it matches the account you reconcile ("same account") or that reconciliation isn't set up yet, with a link to Reconciliation. If the last four digits you type don't match the account you reconcile, Caseo stops and asks: Fix the number or Save anyway.

Change alerts and history

  • When anyone saves a change to either account, every Administrator gets an email, "Bank details changed for [firm]", with the account numbers masked and a link back to this page.
  • Recent changes lists who changed which account and when, with the numbers masked. The last 20 changes are kept.
If you get a change email you didn't expectOpen Settings → Banking straight away, check Recent changes to see who made it, and correct the details before any invoice goes out.
