Owner

A firm also has an Owner: an Administrator who alone can make someone else an Owner, and who can't be demoted or deactivated by other Administrators. Useful for a principal who wants to be sure they can never be locked out by a colleague.

Choosing roles

  • Keep Administrators to the people who are responsible for the firm: they can change bank details and sign off trust reconciliations.
  • Give your bookkeeper Supervisor, so they can capture money and reconcile, but not change members or bank details.
  • Everyone else is Attorney or Staff.
